SUMMER 08

I know, I know, I know...it has been months since I have posted here! Better late than never though, right? Daxton has had a great summer! After getting over his colic, Daxton showed us that he is just a little angel. He has such sweet disposition, with the exception of when he is teething hard, he smiles so bright all day long. He loves attention, so you can guarantee if you walk up to the little man he will flash a big huge smile your way. He is VERY social...happiest when he is receiving attention, quite the little flirt actually!

You will see pictures here of our trip to the zoo with his cousins and Aunt Lauren and Uncle Matt. We also bought a puppy (yes I declare temporary insanity). Her name is Bonnie and she is a American Bulldog. She loves Daxton so much and V.S but she is so hyper still so we really have to watch her. We spend TONS of time with our buddy Simon and one of my best friends Cari. We have had picnics galore, watched fireworks (which he slept through!.

I am now teaching classes for kids in the morning and nannying in the afternoons. This has allowed me the 'blessing' of keeping my little man with me during the day. It has been an adjustment for both of us but well worth it. I just wanted to keep him out of Daycare as long as possible. You will see pictures of the two adorable little boys I watch everyday. Jonah is 6 and Gabe is 4, we have so much fun. Jonah has really taken a liking to Dax and has filled in as big brother for him. It really warms my heart how he cares for him. HE also took quite a few of the pictures you will see, quite the little photographer. Jay is ALWAYS working overtime to assure that his little buddy has everything he could possibly need. Daxton sure loves his Daddy, such a good one!

Daxton is now 6 months and has his first tooth coming through! He struggled a little bit for a while with the teething but seems to be doing much better! I hope you are all doing as well as baby Dax! Love you all!

Okay, my sister-in-law really is showing me up with this blog thing, I think she has updated 6 times since I did! I thought about trying to compete but realized she 'will' win and yes i did steal some of your blog photos... I just can't compete(love ya Stace, you keep me on my 'blogging' toes)!. But here it is, better late than never...So many good pictures of the little babes!

Things have been fun and busy with the little guy as usual. We are happy to say his tummy is feeling much better! We finally found a formula a.k.a 'liquid gold' that suits his belly. It may cost more than out entire monthly grocery bill but really has helped him, turns out he is a really good baby!

He contiues to LOVE his bath and is smiling and cooing away. He is very active and loves to kick in his rocker, we are soooo enjoying him!!! His favorite word is
Ah-Goo ...unfortunately you will hear me say it more than he does in this video =)~




So what else have we been up to you ask? Well..We had fun hanging at Aunt Stacie and Uncle Erik's, they got a new Huge Flat screen T.V, so we watched the Red Wings Win the Stanley Cup!!! Dax loves to play with his 'princess beauty' cousins =)

Also, June 5th...Happy 29th Birthday Jay!!! For Daddy's birthday Auntie Lauren and Uncle Matt watched the babe so we could have some alone time. We just stayed in, I made German Hamburgers (not quite as good as Grammy Culp's!), I also made chocolate covered strawberry's, yum. It was nice to have alone time for sure. The next night my Mom took the little man (I know 2 baby sitters in a row, how lucky we are!).

I made reservations at 24 seconds , we had roof-top fun with friends and family, so nice to chill outside during the summer, this is one of Jays faves. We all got a little crazy, Stacy decided to give our sloppy seconds to the other birthday group next to us who did not come quite as prepared, they loved it though;). This has been a 'Daddy' themed month. Next was Father's Day...

Dad 'n' Dax

We decided to go up North to visit Jay's Parents. We had such a relaxing time as usual, Dax loves it there!!! I made a scrap-book (yes,me!) for Jay for Fathers day. I have to admit it turned out pretty cute! The 3 generations of Culp boys were together for their 1st Fathers day.

Grammy

Grammy really spent some special time with Dax..he is a Grammy's baby for sure!We were sad to leave and Dax misses his Grammy and Poppy! Thank goodness Poppy took so many beautiful pictures since I forgot my camera. His are always better anyways, Check out this Album...

Up North Dax

We were happy to have time to stop by my Grandma's on the way home so that we could surprise my Dad too, everyone(especially Grandma=) was so happy to see him!

Daxton and I have also had many playdates with our friend Simon and his mommy Cari. We love hanging with them, going on walks and talking. Simon was teaching Dax how to suck on his Toes..thank you Simon..so cute!

I just know that Daxton and Simon will be great friends just like the mommies; the kind of friends that are more like family.

I also have to congradulte my friends Seana and Josh on their 1st baby; Jacob Spencer Rubin born on June 3rd, he weighed 7 1bs 10 oz...

Okay, so funny little story with this Video...Dax was having one of his last 'colicky' meltdowns...he had been cryin most of the night. I had to run to the store, so I left the crying baby with Jay, feeling bad since he had just got home from work. I come back expecting the same crying baby and I get this......turns out Dax likes to hang out with little clothing like a big boy like Dad...what does a Mommy know? Good job Daddy =)

Well Hello all! Just some more pictures for you to enjoy, and even some cute videos. In case you did not know, click the pic above to view the whole album =). We have been keeping busy as of late. Daxton is great, allthough the poor babes has been going through a 'colicky' phase. We hate to see him cry so much and look forard to him outgrowing this! He is thriving though to say the least, weighing in at 11 1/2 pounds already. He has outgrown his cousin Maddie by a long shot, she is a dainty little pretty thing! I included pics from my parents anniversary, mothers day, Jays sister's Cinco De Mayo Party and more. My mom kept baby overnight for us while we enjoyed the party, it was so nice to have an evening alone, although I spent much time thinking about dax and hardly slept a wink, lol. Life is good we are excited for summer! Hope you are all well!

Time really does go by fast...

March 28th, 2008

Well it feels like it has been some time since I updated the blog, so much has happened in such a short time. Everyone keeps telling me to treasure every moment cause time goes by fast. This makes me nervous cause I am enjoying him so much right now but I know there are so many great stages to enjoy.

Baby Daxton is growing like crazy! 3 days after he was born he weighed only 6 lbs 3 ounces. Only one month later he weighs over 9lbs! You can really see the progresion in the pictures. I love being home with Daxton, although we still have no sleeping schedule, I grab it when I can. He has started coo-ing in the last week and we think it is the greatest thing ever! These days I would rather stare at my baby's face than do just about anything. Yes, we have now officially joined the 'parent club'. If you are one, you know what I mean.

You will see pictures of Jay's sister Stacey and brother in-law Erik's new baby Madeline Rose. She was born only 8 days after Daxton and is picture perfect! We also took pictures at their baptism, she looked so pretty in her dress. Daxton is so lucky to have so many cousins! You will see Madelines sister Grace and my sisters kids Brendon, Ryan and Sean. They are all exciret about the baby! We have had so much great time with so many family members and we appretiate all the love and kindness you are showering on us!

Finally this week was tough, especially for Jay. We had to say goodbye to Bobo, Jay's best friend. He was an angel of a dog and we miss him like crazy but I know he is in a better place. Everyone who met Bo, fell in love, so we know he will be remembered well. I included some pictures of Bobo, please send him kisses to doggy heaven.

Introducing Daxton William Culp! Born on March 26th at 9:11 p.m, weighing 6 lbs 15 oz, 20 1/2 inches long. He is a perfect little angel. Thank you to everyone for being there for us and helping us out lately. We feel extremely lucky Daxton will have a life filled with so many people who love him. We hope you enjoy the pictures.
